Latest News  Under the patronage of Dr. Mohammed Al-Amer, Central Informatics & Telecommunications Organisation host the GIS day 2012.     OGC workshop under the patronage of the President of the CITO Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Amer.     National training program have been launched in Geographic Information System techniques by a leading U.S. institution with the participation of 21 employee from 8 government agencies.     Training on the concepts of Geographic Information System for the Kingdom Organizations.   

Bahrain Spatial Data Infrastructure(BSDI) is an endeavor towards national interest and unified use of geospatial technology. In accordance of a Government Decree, the National GIS Steering Committee (NGISSC) officially implemented National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) for the Kingdom of Bahrain, in February 2005.                    

Bahrain Spatial Data Infrastructure (BSDI) Portal – is a manifestation of National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) to serve Government Organizations, Private Sectors and Academic Institutions of the Kingdom of Bahrain .
UNDER THE PATRONAGE OF DR. MOHAMMED AL-AMER, CENTRAL INFORMATICS & TELECOMMUNICATIONS ORGANISATION HOSTS THE GIS DAY 2012

Under the patronage of Dr. Mohammed Bin Ahmed Al-Amer, President of the Central Informatics & Telecommunications Organisation (CITO), CITO have sponsored the GIS day 2012 event in the Crowne Plaza Hotel with the participation of more than 200 specialists from relevant entities and a number of officials from the Governments Ministries and various organizations in the Kingdom of Bahrain which is concerned in the GIS field and the presence of the ESRI, Regional Manager in the Middle East and Africa.



BEST E-PROJECT AWARD

His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Informatics and Telecommunication Technology (SCICT) presented the Minister of Interior Lt. Gen Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa the best e-project by a government sector (way leave system) at the 5th Bahrain International E-Government Forum 2012.
